24 Random Questions

Sarah did this one a while ago, and it looked fun, and there's nothing else to blog about (the Superbowl was very exciting at the end, but I only caught the exciting last 4 minutes, so not much there).

25 Random Questions

1) Grab the nearest book to you, turn to page 18, and find line 4.

- "dress, embellish, enrich, garnish," (Dictionary, synonyms of "adorn")

2) Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you reach?

- The cubicle wall between my desk and Michelle's desk (she's the morning show anchor)

3) What's the last thing you watched on TV?

-The last 4(ish) minutes of the Superbowl. Pretty exciting stuff. Came down to the last minute.

4) Without looking, guess what time it is.

-3:10 a.m.

5) Now look at the clock- what is the actual time?

-3:36 a.m.

6) With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?

-Scanner traffic, the printer spitting out scripts for our first half-hour show

7) When did you last step outside? What were you doing?

- Rushing to work (I was running late)

8) Before you started this survey, what did you look at?

-The rundown for our second half-hour show

9) What are you wearing?

-Orange polo shirt, jeans, tennis shoes, socks, glasses

10) Did you dream last night?

-If I did, I don't remember (I only slept for a couple of hours)

11) When did you last laugh?

-Sometime this morning- the morning crew here at KMIZ is a lot of fun

12) What are on the walls of the room you are in?

-White boards, station mission statement, awards from the Missouri Broadcasters Association

13) Seen anything weird lately?

-My family (but I still love them)

14) What do you think of this quiz?

-It's something to do when there's nothing to blog about

15) What is the last film you saw?

-In theatres: Valkyrie- very good movie; at home: The Happening- I liked it, my wife thought it was weird, the world at large hated it. But I thought it was good. Not great, but good.

16) If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?

- House (paid for in cash), new car for wife (I'd take her old one), laptop, cars for any siblings that wanted/needed one, freedom from loans...and then I'd find a wasy to secure/save/invest the rest for the future

17) Tell something about you that isn't common knowledge (I reworded this question, but the idea is the same).

-Ever since my wife got me an MP3 player for Christmas, cleaning the house on Fridays is a lot more enjoyable. There may even be an impromptu lip synch/sing-along/burst of dancing to accompany whichever song is playing. But no, I won't demonstrate. Not even for my wife.

18) If you could one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?

-Put myself in charge. No, seriously, selective breeding. People would need to pass a screening process before they can have a child. Not only will this prevent miserable childhood for thousands of children, it will keep large numbers of stupid people from ever being born.

19) Do you like to dance?

-No. But see #17.

20) Do you like cartoons?

-Sometimes. Most of the Saturday morning stuff is stupid. But there's always the classics (He-Man, Thundercats, Gummi Bears, etc.)

21) Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you name her?

- No clue. We've talked about names, but haven't made any definitive decisions

22) Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you name him?

- Same answer, except we've decided that if we use Steven, it will be a middle name. Sorry, Mom.

23) Would you ever consider living abroad?

- Yes. But not in France.

24) What do you want God to say to you when you reach the pearly gates?

- "It's pretty cool you didn't burn the joint down." (Movie reference, anyone?)

25) Apparently I'm supposed to tag people, but this isn't a question, and I don't like tagging people anymore (they don't pay attention to it). So now I'm changing the post title from "25 Random Questions" to "24 Random Questions."

And done.

Besides, they aren't all technically questions, but I digress.

I'm interested in hearing more about what you thought of The Happening. I thought it could be good if the theme is what I thought it was. If it was just a random spurt of events, then I don't think I like it very much.

Also, the movie reference is Home Alone. Buzz.

I'm out.

At one of my schools recently, a 2nd grade class had written about what they would do with one *hundred* dollars (I think it was part of a "hundredth day of school" celebration). The funny part is that a lot of the lists looked a lot like yours for the "multi-million" dollars.

Oh to be 8 years old and think that $100 will solve all our problems.

Good to talk to you last night - thanks for calling :-)
